An ordinary night out resulted in a horrendous incident where a man was assaulted and killed by three men outside a restaurant in Johor. The accident occurred at about 7.40 pm when most of the people were out to have dinner. It started as an ordinary gathering and turned violent and lethal within a short time leaving the local community in panic.
A Meeting Turns Deadly
The victim was a 38-year-old man who had visited the restaurant to meet someone and resolve a problem. His family said that he thought the conversation was going to be peaceful. He even told his mother that all was well before the meeting that everything would go well. Things however did not work out.

According to police the man was abruptly chased after by three assailants. He fled out the restaurant attempting to get away. He was able to get to a neighboring house, however, the assailants pursued him and did not give up.
Brutal Attack and Injuries
Machetes were used by the attackers to blow the victim several times. His hands, legs and back were severely injured. The eye witnesses said the scene was a nightmare and hastened. The man was rushed to hospital later but doctors were unable to save him.

The police identified the case as a murder. The three suspects remain out of custody and the police department has already initiated a search to locate the suspects in the quickest time possible.
Family Speaks Out
The family of the victim was more forthcoming with the information once he was dead. They claimed that he had accepted to assist somebody with a problem that involved a student who was threatened by a group. He intervened to save and defend others, not to cause trouble.

His mother feels that the attack had been premeditated. Her son had not anticipated any threat and hoped that the encounter was going to be safe, she said. The family even alleged that they were scared later on by people who told them that they were cops so that they could drop the case.
Community in Shock
The incident spread very fast and most people came to offer their condolences. During the funeral, a vast number of people came to say their good-byes. Friends and family members said that the victim was kind, respectful, and he was never reluctant to assist others.
The police are still investigating and they are requesting anyone with information to present themselves to them. The hunt to get the suspects is still on as law enforcers strive to get those culprits to justice.
