Krsna’s Free Meals has become a shining example of humanitarian initiatives in the fight against hunger in Singapore. This soup kitchen, run by volunteers, distributes free breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. According to the organization, they have distributed more than one crore meals so far, which is seen as a major social milestone.

The volunteers working here work with a spirit of love and compassion. Their goal is to deliver home-cooked food to people in need. As a result, many believe that this initiative is having a positive impact on the local community.
Role of Volunteers
Volunteers are the main force behind this initiative. Every day, they are involved in various tasks, from preparing food to distributing it. Usually, the duration of a shift is three to four hours. Short breaks are also arranged in between so that everyone can work comfortably.

Although the schedule is somewhat flexible, it is necessary to inform in advance. As a result, students and working people also get the opportunity to participate here.
Opportunities for All
This soup kitchen is open to volunteers aged 13 and above. However, those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This rule is in place to ensure safety and responsibility. Many young people join here to gain experience in social work.

At the same time, they are able to learn new things about human values. As a result, it becomes not only a service but also a learning experience.
Work Environment
It is mandatory to follow safety and hygiene rules while preparing food. Volunteers are asked to wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes. They should be prepared for the hot environment in the kitchen. They are also instructed to tie up long hair and not wear jewelry while serving food. By following these rules, it is possible to keep the work environment safe.

Social Reaction
The initiative has also seen positive reactions on social media. One user congratulated the entire team, saying that this is a great achievement. Another commented, “May God bless them more for distributing free food.”

Many believe that such initiatives spread a message of compassion and unity in society. As a result, this soup kitchen is not only providing food but also awakening hope among people.

Currently, this initiative has become an important symbol of humanitarian aid in Singapore. Therefore, many believe that such activities will play a role in bringing positive changes in society in the future.
