The pink and white trumpet tree flowers have created a spring atmosphere in Singapore. Recently, these flowers have filled the streets and parks in various areas of the city. The flowers blooming in the Tampines area, especially, remind many of the famous sakura flowers in Japan.

Local residents and visitors are stopping to take pictures on the street and enjoying this beauty of nature. Many joke that there is no need to go to Japan to see this scene. Because now Singapore itself can see the charming scene of pink flowers like sakura.
Trumpet Tree Flowers
These flowers are mainly of the trumpet tree or Tabebuia rosea species. Locally, it is also sometimes called the ‘Singapore cherry blossom.’ Its flowers are usually pink or white in color and look a lot like Japanese sakura flowers.

Clusters of flowers bloom on the branches of the tree and fall to the ground within a few days. As a result, the streets and sidewalks are covered in pink petals. This scene creates a unique beauty of nature for many.
Flowering Time
This trumpet tree usually blooms twice a year in Singapore. This flower is most visible between March and April and August and September. According to experts, the chances of flowering increase if there is continuous rain after a hot summer. However, this beauty does not last long. In most cases, the flowers last from a few days to a maximum of two weeks. Therefore, many people recommend going outside immediately after the rain stops and seeing this sight.

Where to See
This trumpet tree can be seen in various residential areas and roadsides in Singapore. Especially in Tampines, Bishan and some park areas, crowds increase during flowering. Local residents often go out for walks during this time and take pictures under the flowers.

Many tourists also go to specific areas to see this sight. As a result, the ordinary streets of the city become a small flower festival for a few days.
Nature’s Festival
Singapore has seen various festivals organized around flowers before. Examples of such events are the Singapore Garden Festival or the Orchid Extravaganza. The blooming of the trumpet tree also seems like nature’s own festival to many. Even for a short time, these pink flowers add a new color to the city’s atmosphere. So locals are going out to enjoy this spectacle whenever they get the chance.
