Woman Adjusts Mirror for Feng Shui, Leads to Traffic Accidents
Facebook

In Shanghai, a woman who cared a lot about feng shui caused several accidents in her neighborhood. She kept moving a traffic mirror that was meant to help drivers turn safely. The corner was a sharp turn with a mirror which she changed to make the feng shui of her house better. According to sources, the property management company tried to fix the problem many times, but the mirror kept being moved.

Mirror blamed for “bad luck” at home

The woman told her husband that her home had “bad luck and health problems.” She invited a feng shui master to check the house. The master said the traffic mirror was causing her problems. Her husband, Mr. Luo, said, “We are not demons. We do not want a demon-revealing mirror pointing at our home.”

He explained that in Chinese tradition, some mirrors can reflect bad energy or reveal evil spirits. According to the report, the woman believed this mirror was unsafe for her family.

Neighborhood accidents and complaints

While the woman was protecting her home, drivers in the neighborhood were at risk. Many accidents happened because cars could not see the turn clearly. Neighbors complained that they had to drive very carefully. One neighbor said, “We had to pay extra attention every time we made the turn.” The property management company tried to install a second mirror on the opposite side of the road, hoping to make the turn safe again.

Police intervention and warnings

On 21 January, the neighborhood committee called the police. The authorities warned the woman and her husband that moving the mirror could be considered a crime.

They also said the couple could be responsible if another accident happened because of the mirror. The police told them that their actions, even if meant for feng shui, were dangerous for others.

Feng Shui explained

Feng shui is a traditional Chinese practice. The words mean “wind and water.” It is used to arrange houses, furniture, and spaces in a way that balances energy. Good feng shui is a belief people have that gives their lives health, luck and safety. But experts say it should not harm others. In this case, moving a traffic mirror caused accidents and danger, even though it was meant for good energy.

Community reaction

The story quickly spread on social media in China. Many people discussed it online. Some said the couple acted selfishly: “They protected their own feng shui but risked others’ safety.”

Others commented, “It is foolish to blame everything on a mirror.” The incident shows how traditional beliefs can sometimes clash with modern safety rules. The police and property managers have now secured the mirror with cement to prevent further movement.
