Starting something new at the age of 73 is unimaginable for many. But Aunty Paulin has broken that notion. She has been running a small coffee shop ‘Kopikhoo’ for almost a year. In her cafe, customers are welcomed by making coffee with her own hands every day.

She is constantly proving that it is not age, but interest and courage that are the real strength. The aroma of coffee is mixed here with the story of sincerity, family, and love of people.
The Beginning of Kopikhoo
The journey of Kopikhoo began with the help of her family. Aunty Paulin said that her son encouraged her to participate in this initiative. Although she had no experience in making coffee at the beginning, she decided to try when she got the opportunity.

She believed that nothing can be learned without trying. That thought led her to take a new path.
Helping the Family
The entire family is behind this coffee shop. Her granddaughter created the logo and design of the shop, which she is very proud of. On the other hand, since her son is a coffee lover, she teaches everything about making coffee. Experiments with various devices have been going on since the Covid period.

From small machines, they gradually reached advanced double boiler machines. As a result, today the quality of Kapiku coffee has gained a different reputation.
Coffee and Experience
Kapiku’s most popular drink is iced caramel coffee. Along with iced mocha and matcha, customers also like it. Aunty Paulin said that making coffee was very difficult for her in the beginning.
At that time, she used to get quite nervous. However, with regular practice, her confidence gradually increased. Now, she makes every cup of coffee with love.
Love of Customers
Another special aspect of Kapiku is her relationship with customers. While waiting at the store, she hands out various books, where people write their feelings. Some draw pictures, and some write greeting messages.

There are also separate books for coffee lovers and dog or cat lovers. Aunty Pauline finds joy in reading these messages every day. People’s smiles and gratitude are the biggest reward for her work.
Breaking the Age Limit
Her idea behind starting a new job at this age is very simple. She thinks that when an opportunity comes, it should be taken. The feeling that a cup of coffee can bring a smile to someone’s face is what fulfills him. Meeting people every day has added new joy to his life. So, Kopiku is not just a coffee shop, but a symbol of a new chapter in life.
