Passenger Puts Feet on Seat Headrest During Flight, Video Shows

A tense situation that occurred in the cabin left the passengers of a typical flight shocked. In a video, which was eventually available on the Internet, a woman can be seen as she puts her feet on the seat in front of her. This was because of a simple but appalling reason in the eyes of the witnesses, the passenger who had reclined the seat left her annoyed and uncomfortable.

This accident occurred when the aircraft was already airborne. Emotions were upsurged in a limited space and inability to move. The woman did not call or talk directly to the other passenger so instead she responded in a direct and unconventional way which surprised everyone.

Dispute unfolds after take-off

Seats that are reclined are typical on long distance flights. But to the woman sitting behind, the abrupt backward swing of the chair was an obtrusion. The diminished leg area seemed to irritate her and a few seconds later she took her feet and placed them on the headrest before her.

The action was observed by other passengers around who started recording. The video demonstrates that the feet are visible above the seat making the person who is sitting before uncomfortable but also the others who are observing the action of the video.

A small action, a big reaction

The clip went viral as soon as it was uploaded to social media. The audience was very responsive, and there were numerous arguments about who was to blame. There were those who thought that merely reclining without prior notice was inconsiderable and others thought that putting feet on a headrest was pushing the acceptable behavioural boundaries.

The video did not depict the outcome of the situation, and the short scene was sufficient to make many talk about it. Numerous passengers had the same experience, as they claimed that this could make a big difference when a small gesture happens in such a small space as the airplane cabin.

Video fuels online debate

Cabins of airplanes are meant to accommodate a great number of occupants in a small space. This frequently results in minor squabbles over armrests, legroom and seat assignment. In the situation, an elegant move of a seat became a painful confrontation.

The crews of the flights are trained how to deal with conflicts, yet not every passenger is willing to request assistance. Rather, others are emotional, particularly when they feel unacknowledged or abused.

This was not the case when the video was over since the woman was still on the headrest and she was not out of tension. The short video shot how fast an ordinary flight can become clumsy and served to remind the audience that even the smallest motions can scream when at altitudes of 30,000 feet.
