He Ghosted His Shoebill, Now the Bird Won’t Even Look at Him

An unusual video is recently going viral on social media, where a man is talking to a shoebill bird. After a long time, he returns and tries to feed the bird. In the video, it is seen that the shoebill’s name is Zane, whom he used to feed regularly before. 

However, this time the situation seems to be a little different. He slowly approaches the bird and tries to understand its reaction. These moments become quite intriguing for the viewers.

Attempting to Feed Food

In the video by @zanetheking08, it is seen that the keeper, Avinash, tried several times to feed fish to Zane. At first, the bird did not respond to it even though he was sitting down. Then he decided to feed the fish standing up, so that the bird would feel comfortable. 

Still, Zane’s reluctance was clear in his behavior. Sometimes he looked at the fish, and sometimes he turned away. This tension makes the whole scene more interesting.

Zane’s Mood

The mood change can be clearly seen in the behavior of this shoebill bird. Sometimes he stands calmly, sometimes he shows signs of annoyance. The video shows that Zane  does not like being touched and wants to be on his own. 

Many believe that such behavior is part of the natural characteristics of shoebills. Especially when they see someone they know after a long time. As a result, this temperamental behavior presents a kind of real experience to the audience.

There are also some humorous moments in this whole process. The person himself expresses surprise at the bird’s posture and disinterested behavior. Despite trying to say goodbye several times, Zane stands in the same place.
