Chiang Rai is known as one of the most beautiful and famous places in Thailand that is worth a visit. Individuals tend to visit it as a way of enjoying the serene art and the spectacular white buildings.

However, recently, one of the most unexpected things occurred making a lot of visitors feel very shocked. What was a normal day of sightseeing experience had morphed into a big scene that nobody foresaw.

This predicament began between two groups of people. The Taiwanese tourists formed one group and the Thai formed the other group. Initially, it was a mere verbal conflict between the two parties. They were screaming at each other yet that situation could not last long. The argument got very aggressive and loud before anybody could stop them.

Banging and Screaming at the Location.

People in the temple testified that the two groups started shoving and hitting each other shortly. It was a physical combat in the middle of the cultural landmark. A large number of other tourists that were present were in a state of utter disbelief watching the scene. They did not comprehend how a peaceful religious place could turn into a place of bloody battle.

The local authorities were summoned to the scene so that they could tackle the problem. They toiled to come in and allay cold-bloodedly as soon as they could. They were primarily tasked with ensuring the situation was not worsened at all and preventing the inconvenience of other visitors. They could work fast, so the fighting was not going on long before one was seriously injured.

Cultural respect is something to think about.

Although it was a very frightening fight to observe, later the officials confirmed that no one sustained any severe injuries. Nonetheless, it was a total disruption of the calmness that the White Temple is known to have had a day. This incident has now ushered in a new debate in Thailand of how individuals ought to conduct themselves on visiting these special places.

These issues of behavior problems are increasingly becoming a discussion as more international travelers revisit Thailand. A lot of individuals believe that tourists must be reminded of their location. Holy places are highly valued by the locals and they expect some form of reverence and silence by everyone who comes there.

Authorities are now advising every tourist to be patient and conscious of his/her deeds. They clarified that in case a large number of diverse individuals with varied backgrounds are brought together, conflicts may occur.

Nevertheless, it is necessary to adhere to the local traditions and remain silent rather than struggle. Landmark visits ought to be more about learning and sharing the experience with them instead of expressing anger.
