A late-night Immigration raid in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, took an unexpected turn when a Malaysian man in his 40s made a surprising claim. He said he was forced to enter a massage parlour just minutes before officers stormed the place.

The man’s story quickly caught public attention because he insisted he did not plan to go there. The incident happened during a coordinated operation targeting illegal foreign workers. Officers arrived suddenly, causing confusion among people inside the premises.
A Simple Trip Turns Complicated
The man is a civil servant from Ipoh. He was in Kuala Lumpur for a short trip to play golf and was staying at a nearby hotel.
On the night of the raid, he said he only stepped out to look for food. While walking around Bukit Bintang, several foreign women approached him. He believed they were masseuses working nearby.
His Claim
The man claimed the women kept pulling his arms and persuading him to enter the massage parlour. He said he refused at first, but they continued to pressure him. Feeling tired after a long day of golf, he finally gave in.

He reportedly paid S$19 to an Indonesian woman before entering. He stressed that no massage took place. Immigration officers arrived almost immediately after he went inside.
Three Premises Targeted
The Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department confirmed that three massage parlours were raided at around 11pm. Officers had been monitoring the area following tips about suspicious activities.

When the raid began, some foreign nationals attempted to escape after spotting the authorities. A brief commotion occurred as officers secured the premises and checked documents.
Arrests Made
During the operation, 30 individuals were arrested. The group included 11 Indonesians, 16 Cambodians, two Thais, and one Chinese national.
All of them were taken to the Immigration Department office for further investigation. The Malaysian man was also questioned to verify his statement and involvement at the scene.
Ongoing Investigation
Immigration director Wan Mohammed Saupee Wan Yusoff stated that those arrested are being investigated under several laws.
These include Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for overstaying, Section 6(1)(c) for not having valid passes, and Regulation 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963.
Authorities are also continuing investigations into the massage parlour operators and their staff. The incident occurred in mid-October, with enforcement efforts still ongoing .
