Hiker’s Frightening Call for Help
What was meant to be a weekend hike turned into a terrifying ordeal for a woman in Kuala Lumpur.
On Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1:03 PM, she called the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuala Lumpur, saying she had gotten lost in a forest in Bukit Dinding, and was being chased by what she thought was a “tiger.”

Rescue Teams Deployed
Following the distress call, two teams consisting of nine officers and personnel from the Kuala Lumpur District Operations Control Centre were sent to the forest.

APM Kuala Lumpur said on Facebook, she appeared extremely shaken and was having difficulty breathing from fear when officers reached her at 1:36 PM.

Taken to the Hospital for Treatment
After being found, the woman was immediately assisted by rescuers and later sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for further treatment.

The Animal Wasn’t a Tiger
While the woman was convinced that a tiger had chased her, rescuers clarified otherwise after speaking with her. Based on her description, the animal was assumed to be a wild boar.
