- The Singapore Story – Told Through the Artistry of Porcelain
- 60 Limited-Edition 50cm Handcrafted Plates to be Donated to Charity to Raise SGD 600,000 for Mental Health
Luzerne, a proud Made with Passion tableware brand, commemorates Singapore’s 60 years of independence with the SG60 Diamond Collection – a commemorative range of specially designed and handcrafted ceramic plates and cups that depict milestones of Singapore’s progress over 6 decades, telling the story of Singapore through the artistry of porcelain.
The collection includes:
- The SG60 Diamond Plate (60 pieces of 50cm commemorative plates that will be donated to charity),

- The SG60 Singapura Plate (30cm plates), the SG60 Singapura 6-Plate Set (a set of six 16cm plates)

- and the SG60 Kopi Set (six espresso cups and saucers in a boxed set).

The SG60 Singapura Plate and Kopi Set come in six designs, each reflecting a symbolic milestone of Singapore for each decade.
For the limited-edition SG60 Diamond Plate, all six designs are brought together in a striking collage – a proud showcase of Singapore’s progress at a glance.
Luzerne’s SG60 Diamond Collection is proudly conceptualised and painted by Associate Professor Ng Woon Lam, a Singaporean artist, international award-winning watercolourist, and Dolphin Fellowship awardee of the American Watercolour Society.
Professor Ng’s philosophy for his art is based on Taiji, where he constantly searches for balance and harmony in depicting the dynamic nature of life.
His painting style leans towards Chinese calligraphy strokes. Having lived through Singapore’s progress, Professor Ng’s portrayal of Singapore’s milestones is captivating and endearing, accurately depicting the heart of its people.
SG60 Diamond Plate for Charity: Raising Funds and Awareness for Mental Health
Luzerne will donate all 60 of the 50cm commemorative plates to charity, with the objective of raising SGD 600,000 for charitable causes with a focus on mental health.
“This initiative is deeply personal to me. As co-founder of the PleaseStay. Movement, speaking up on youth mental health and suicide prevention has never been a choice – it is a responsibility I carry. My hope is that through awareness, compassion, and open dialogue, we can break the stigma and better support those who are silently struggling to seek help with no prejudice,” says Elaine Lek, Chief Executive Officer of Luzerne.
“The resilience of a nation stems from the fortitude of its people. As Singapore continues to progress, rapid change is inevitable. With Luzerne’s humble contribution to SG60, I hope to show support for those navigating societal pressures or identity challenges amid these shifts.
Luzerne’s own 75-year journey has not been without its trials. It was the mental strength and determination of our predecessors – who held the fort even in the darkest times – that brought us to where we are today: a global brand rooted in heritage and heart. I wish the same for all Singaporeans – that they may always find the support they need, and the strength to persevere with hope.”
To date, more than 20 social service agencies have expressed interest in receiving the SG60 Diamond Plates for their own fundraising efforts, which Luzerne will distribute among these charities.
Separately, Luzerne will launch a fundraising initiative for 10 of the plates in collaboration with Community Chest Singapore (ComChest), with all proceeds going to the President’s Challenge, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF), Samaritans of Singapore, and Limitless Singapore.
Fundraising for the plates under ComChest will be conducted online at www.luzerne.com/sg60, with minimum donations starting at SGD 2,688 per plate.
At the close of the fundraising period, the top 10 donors will each be presented with a serialised plate, encased in a premium gift box with a custom-made plate stand.
Luzerne aims to raise SGD 600,000 from all 60 plates.
