A male teacher at a primary school in Mutiara Rini, Johor, has been arrested over allegations involving inappropriate conduct with three nine-year-old students of his.

According to Malay Mail, the arrest was made on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at an undisclosed location in the Iskandar Puteri district.
The teacher was taken into custody to assist in ongoing investigations.
Incidents Reportedly Happened This Year
Police believe that the alleged assaults took place sometime this year.
Iskandar Puteri police chief Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan confirmed that the teacher is being investigated for sexually assaulting the three girls.

Five-Day Remand to Assist Investigations
The 47-year-old suspect has been remanded for five days starting Wednesday (April 23) and will remain in custody until Sunday (April 27), said Kumarasan in a media statement.
Case Under Child Protection Law
The investigation falls under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
This section deals specifically with sexual contact involving a child, and if convicted, the suspect could face up to 20 years in prison and be subject to caning.
Police Investigations Still Ongoing
Kumarasan added that the investigation is still underway.
