Police Arrest Man Following Repeated Theft Reports
A man in his 40s was taken into custody on Wednesday, 16 April 2025, in connection with a series of alleged underwear thefts reported in Kampung Baru Rasah, Seremban.
In a report by Sinar Harian, he turned up at the police station at about 9 am after he was contacted and instructed by the police to report to the station, where officers arrested him.

Seremban district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the man was identified through CCTV recordings.
Not the First Time This Happened
According to The Sun, this was not the first time the suspect, who the victim believes is the same person, had been caught on camera.

A separate CCTV footage in January 2025 captured the suspect driving a car near her house, looking out for surroundings to ensure no one was home, before allegedly returning later to steal items.
Victim Noticed Undergarments Had Gone Missing
The case came to light after 27-year-old Cik Lai noticed that her and her sister’s undergarments had been missing frequently from the clothesline.
She also recalled similar incidents involving her late grandmother, whose undergarments were once stolen while drying in the garage, though the family didn’t think much of it then.
Over time, however, the pattern of missing underwear became more apparent and Cik Lai recounted that on one occasion, up to seven pairs went missing in a single incident.
CCTV Footage Captured Suspect in Action
In an effort to catch the thief and based on previous reports filed by the victim, the family was advised to install CCTV cameras outside their home.
A major breakthrough came on Tuesday, 15 April 2025, around 4.30 PM, when the CCTV footage showed the suspect parking his lorry near their house before climbing over the wall.

He selected and took several undergarments, which he then hid under his shirt before leaving. Additionally, he reportedly took not only underwear but also skirts and shorts.

Following this, the victim filed a police report. NST also reported that authorities believe the suspect only targeted women’s clothing, as he left other clothes untouched.
The man is now in police custody.
