A 24-year-old woman in Nalasopara, Mumbai, allegedly attacked her stepfather with a knife, severing his genitals, after enduring years of sexual exploitation.

The incident occurred on Monday, March 24, 2025, around 3:00 p.m. in a chawl in Nalasopara East, according to police officials.

Planned Attack Following Alleged Assault
According to Hindustan Times, the woman’s 56-year-old stepfather attempted to force himself on her that afternoon. Having suffered abuse for over two years, she persuaded him to be blindfolded, tied a cloth around his eyes, and then used a knife to sever his genitals.

Following this, the man screamed in agony and ran out of the house, bleeding heavily as he stumbled onto the street.

Public Chase and Stabbing
The attack did not end there. According to reports, the woman chased after him and stabbed him again on the streets while horrified bystanders looked on.
Some witnesses even took videos of the scene, while one witness alerted the police.
After police arrived, the injured man was rushed to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

Legal Actions Underway
The woman has been taken into custody and sent for a medical examination, as per police officials.
Authorities have stated that they are in the process of filing a rape case against the stepfather and an attempt to murder charge against the woman under relevant sections of the law.
“We are carrying out further investigation. We will record the woman’s statement soon,” said an officer from the Tulinj police station
Police are continuing their inquiry into the case, gathering evidence and statements from those involved.
