Unexpected Encounter at Ramadan Bazaar
A young boy in Malaysia has captured public attention after speaking directly to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim about the poor condition of his school’s toilets.
The lighthearted moment occurred on March 14, when the Prime Minister visited a Ramadan bazaar in Kamunting, Perak, Malaysia, the New Straits Times (NST) reported.
A School Concern Turned Viral
In the 28-second video posted by @/norsahida89 on TikTok, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was seen engaging with the public, including groups of children.
While conversing with a boy, he asked him about his school, including whether the toilets were in good condition.

The boy then responded by mentioning that two of the toilets were broken, while two others were still usable.
Anwar, amused by the response, assured the child that he would address the issue.
“Two toilets are broken; two can still be used. I’ll have to call Fadhlina (Education Minister) later,” Anwar said heartily.
Clarification from the Video Poster
Following the video’s widespread attention, the original poster clarified that the boy did not intentionally lodge a complaint. Instead, he was merely answering Anwar’s question.
“The actual story is… the kid didn’t complain. PMX (Anwar) was the one who asked, ‘Is the school okay? Are the toilets okay?’ You’re the ones saying he’s ‘extra.’ Poor boy… don’t spread false information, especially during Ramadan.”
Comments and Reactions
The video sparked various reactions online, with many praising the boy for his honesty and confidence in addressing the issue directly with the prime minister.
“Your level is different, kid. Others report to their class teacher, but you report straight to the PM,” one user joked.
Another commented, “The headmaster is doomed… probably losing sleep over this.”
Adding to the humor, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek herself responded to the clip after hearing Anwar mention her name.
“Ok PMX, heard my name being summoned!” she quipped in the comments.
The video continues to gain traction, with netizens finding both the boy’s boldness and Anwar’s lighthearted interactions amusing.
