A 29-year-old nurse, Nurul Ilham binti Noordin died in a tragic accident on the Kajang Silk Highway in Sepang on Sunday, February 18.
The incident occurred at around 1 p.m. when the nurse, who worked at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Hospital (HSAAS) in Serdang, Selangor, crashed her motorcycle into a parked lorry in the emergency lane and was subsequently run over by two vehicles.
Accident Details
According to Sepang District Deputy Police Chief Superintendent Shan Gopal Krishnan, Nurul was traveling alone from Cheras to her workplace when the accident happened at KM28.2 of the highway, NST reported.

A three-tonne lorry had been parked on the emergency lane due to technical issues, and the nurse’s motorcycle collided with it.


The impact of the crash threw Nurul onto the right lane, where she was first hit by a Perodua Bezza and then run over by a Perodua Alza, Sinar Harian reports.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ongoing Investigation
Superintendent Shan Gopal Krishnan confirmed that statements have been taken from the drivers involved in the incident to aid in the investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which addresses causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
A Call for Public Assistance
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the accident to contact the Sepang District Police Headquarters or reach out directly to the investigating officer, Inspector Mohamad Fadzil Zainol Abidin.
Caution to Road Users
Authorities have also advised road users to remain careful while driving, especially around stationary vehicles on emergency lanes.
