Claimed She Was Heading Back to Pendang

According to Kota Setar police chief Assistant Commissioner Siti Nor Salawati Saad, the teenager told police she was on her way back to her hometown in Pendang, Kedah, and had relied on her phone’s navigation app for directions.

She was seen looking at her phone, presumably for navigation.

She claimed the app had led her onto the wrong side of the expressway.

Police have since seized the motorcycle believed to have been used in the incident.

Authorities are currently probing the matter under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which pertains to driving in a reckless and hazardous manner.
