She Thought They Were Just Close Siblings
A Malaysian woman has taken to social media to express her confusion and concern after discovering that her husband, now in his 30s, still showers with his sister.
The anonymous confession was shared on XUAN’s “解忧树洞” (Worry-Free Confession Treehole), where it quickly gained attention from readers.
Assumption Changed After a Visit to Family Home
The woman, who has been married to her husband for three years, said she had always known about the strong bond between her husband and his younger sister.

As they had grown up together, she assumed their closeness was natural and harmless. That assumption changed during a visit to her husband’s family home.
They Exited the Bathroom Together
According to her post, the couple had returned to her husband’s family home when his sister, who had returned from Australia, happened to be visiting as well.
While her husband went to take a shower, she remained nearby on her phone until something caught her attention.
She was stunned when both her husband and his sister stepped out of the bathroom together after showering.

“I was completely stunned.”
She explained that she decided not to question him immediately in front of his family, choosing instead to stay composed to avoid creating a scene.
“It’s Just a Habit,” He Told Her
Later, when she privately asked him about what she had witnessed, his response left her even more unsettled.

“We’ve been showering together since we were kids; it’s just a habit,” he replied.
Before she could even process that response, he followed up with a suggestion that she found even more bewildering:
“Next time, why don’t you shower with her too? It’ll help you bond (with her).”
She Now Feels Deeply Uncomfortable
Following this, the woman admitted she was left feeling mentally shaken by the discovery.
She also shared that she is now dreading an upcoming trip in two months, during which they plan to stay at his sister’s home in Australia.
However, what troubled her most was not just the act itself, but her husband’s complete dismissal of her feelings.
Rather than acknowledging her discomfort, he told her she was “too prejudiced” and that she “doesn’t understand the purity of family.”
