Attempted Break-In at BTS Jungkook’s Home
A Chinese woman in her 30s was taken into custody late Wednesday, June 11, after allegedly trying to access BTS member Jungkook’s private home in Seoul’s Yongsan District illegally.
The incident took place at approximately 11:20 p.m., just hours after Jungkook was officially discharged from his mandatory military service as an Army Sergeant.

Witnesses Alert Police After Suspicious Activity
Yongsan Police stated that she was seen pressing the door’s passcode multiple times by witnesses in an apparent attempt to gain entry.
Police officers arrived at the scene following a report and detained the woman on charges of attempted trespassing.
MK reported that the woman was arrested as a “flagrant offender,” a legal term in Korean law for individuals caught in the act of committing a crime.
Suspect Said She Came to See Jungkook
Korea JoongAng Daily reported that during police questioning, she claimed her purpose for coming to Korea was to meet Jungkook following his discharge.

Police are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of the incident.
Jungkook Recently Completed His Military Service
Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS, enlisted in December 2023 and served for 18 months in the 5th Artillery Brigade.
He was officially discharged on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, and later that day, greeted fans in a brief appearance.
At the event, Jungkook said:
“It’s been a while since I was in front of a camera, so I feel a bit embarrassed without makeup. I’m not sure what to say… The juniors who are still serving and the peers who were discharged a bit earlier went through a lot with us.”
Jungkook’s Home Is in a High-Security Neighborhood
According to reports, Jungkook resides in a newly constructed, five-story luxury house in Yongsan, one of Seoul’s most exclusive and secure areas.
The location is favored by celebrities and public figures due to its strong security measures and privacy.
No Injuries or Property Damage Reported
None of the official reports indicated any injuries, confrontations, or property damage related to the attempted break-in.
The suspect was arrested without incident at the scene.
BTS Expected to Reunite Soon
Following Jungkook’s discharge, BTS is expected to reunite as a complete group once fellow member Suga (Min Yoongi) completes his military service.
Suga is set to be discharged on June 21, marking the return of all seven members after their individual enlistments.
