Vijay Sethupathi joins Vetri Maaran’s “Arasan”

Fans are excited upon finding out that the new movie “Arasan” has actually cast Vijay Sethupathi in a role.

The actor will be joining lead actor Silambarasan in the new movie, and will play the role of a police officer. It was reported that the character will be an important part of the story.

The film itself, directed by Vetri Maaran, is said to be connected to the universe of the critically-acclaimed film, “Vada Chennai,” with actors Samuthirakani and Andrea Jeremiah to reprise their roles for the previous movie.

It is noted that filming has completed in Kovilpatti and that production is now moving to Chennai to shoot key sequences.

Production reportedly will wrap by late May or early June, with plans to release during Deepavali.
