Video Shows Officer Taking Something From Driver
Police are investigating allegations that a traffic officer accepted a bribe from a driver at a roadblock after a video of the incident went viral.
The footage, shared on social media, captures the officer approaching a luxury car stopped at a roadblock near The Mines shopping mall.
A few seconds after speaking with the traffic officer, the driver reached for something on the passenger seat before handing it over to the officer.
The officer then slipped it into his pocket before walking away, joining his other colleague.
It is unclear what the item was, and no further details about the driver have been disclosed.
Roadblock Took Place on March 23
According to Free Malaysia Today, the incident occurred during a police roadblock held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on March 23, 2025.
The roadblock involved three traffic policemen from the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT).
Police Confirm Investigation Is Ongoing
Serdang District Police Chief ACP AA Anbalagan confirmed that an internal probe is being conducted to determine if any breaches of procedure occurred.

“We will not compromise (with the officer involved) if it is proven that misconduct had been committed. The case is still being investigated,” he said.
He also urged the public to avoid speculation, as it could interfere with the investigation.
