The altercation was filmed and later shared widely online.

Viral Video Sparks Debate

The footage shows several people attacking the man in the middle of the crowded street as bystanders looked on.

The video quickly went viral and sparked criticism of the man’s behaviour.

How the Altercation Began

A witness recounted that she had been sitting with friends in front of a BB gun shop when three foreigners, two men and a woman, walked past.

One of the men allegedly reached toward a woman who was talking to her boyfriend.

When the boyfriend tried to push him away, the man reportedly persisted and then grabbed the woman’s bottom. This triggered an angry confrontation that escalated into a fistfight, which was the scene captured in the viral clip.

Concerns for Pattaya’s Image

A witness said the incident left her feeling shocked and disheartened.

She stressed that tourists should respect Thai culture and behave responsibly rather than assuming they can act however they please while on holiday.

She also urged visitors to be more mindful of their behaviour to avoid similar problems.

What Remains Unclear

While the video and eyewitness accounts have been widely shared, there have been no details of any arrests or police statements following the fight.
