A strange post appeared on former Singaporean President Tony Tan’s official Facebook page on 19 June 2022

On the evening of 19 June 2022, a Facebook post was published on the official Facebook page of Singapore’s former President, Dr Tony Tan.

Facebook’s English translation of the post read “Any one want gf hmu Chinese oh ?”

A Facebook user, Sean Lim, also took a screenshot of the said post.

The post had remained up for at least 7 hours. It was accessible at 6.13am but no longer accessible at around 8.00am on 20 June 2022.

As of 6.13am on 20 June 2022, the post had garnered 11 reactions and 7 shares.

The last time that a post had been publish on Dr Tan’s official page was April 2020, when he updated his Facebook bio.

It is unclear if the former President’s Facebook page was hacked, but that appears to be the most probably explanation.
