SW Strategies has announced the launch of its second and all new podcast, “The Warmdown Pod”, a new football and fitness podcast that blends reactions to happenings in the world of Singapore sports, training talk, and locker-room banter into a light-hearted, conversational listen. The new podcast made its debut on 9 February, partnering with Singapore fitness brand Fight Zone. The Warmdown Pod forms part of SW Strategies’ continued expansion into owned digital media assets, strengthening the firm’s portfolio of content-led platforms designed to engage audiences beyond traditional communications channels.

Designed to be accessible to both avid football fans and casual listeners, the podcast avoids traditional punditry in favour of wit, relatability, and shared experiences. Episodes balance informed perspectives with humour, making sport feel social rather than serious.

BEYOND THE WHISTLE AND THE WORKOUT

Hosted and recorded at Ann Siang Hill by lifelong sports enthusiasts Jose Raymond and Sasidharan Unnithan, The Warmdown Pod channels the energy of post-match debriefs and post-workout chats, where opinions are unfiltered, humour comes naturally, and conversations rarely stay confined to the ninety minutes.

Raymond brings with him a background as a senior correspondent and sports journalist, having covered football and major sporting moments across newsrooms in Singapore, while Unnithan operates at the intersection of fitness, community, and everyday training culture through Fight Zone. Together, their perspectives ground the podcast in both storytelling and participation, offering listeners insight without instruction and opinion without overanalysis and technical jargon.

“The idea behind The Warmdown Pod was to keep things real,” said Jose Raymond, Founder and Managing Director of SW Strategies. “The Warmdown Pod is less about breaking news and more about breaking down how sport fits into everyday life. It is designed to feel familiar, informal, and accessible, much like the conversations that happen after the whistle blows or the workout ends.”

For Sasidharan Unnithan, Founder and CEO of Fight Zone, the podcast mirrors the role sport plays in daily life, not just as competition, but as routine and connection. “Sport has always been part of my routine, whether that’s watching football, training, or talking about it after a session,” he said. “The Warmdown Pod is really about those in-between moments, the conversations that happen when you’re cooling down and everything feels more relaxed and honest.”

TURNING CONTENT INTO CONNECTION

The launch of The Warmdown Pod further strengthens SW Strategies’ growing portfolio of owned digital assets, complementing existing platforms such as HR Won’t Like This, which features unfiltered conversations on the realities of modern work and life, and TMSGoal, a digital sports platform in Singapore which is known for its hard truths and news breaks, along with a blend of vigilante journalism.

Together, these properties reflect the firm’s commitment to building platform-native content that connects with distinct communities across sport, lifestyle, and contemporary culture.

Distributed across Spotify and YouTube, with supporting short-form content on Instagram and Tik Tok, The Warmdown Pod extends SW Strategies’ digital ecosystem by offering a conversational, sport-centric space that meets audiences where they already engage and consume content.

The Warmdown Pod is now available on Spotify and YouTube, with new episodes and clips released regularly across social platforms.
