Eye Contact Leads To Knife Attack

According to Mumkhao, the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Akhom, was waiting to buy grilled chicken when he and the victim exchanged displeased looks.

This appeared to upset Akhom, who allegedly took a knife from the vendor’s stall and stabbed the victim in the abdomen. In the process, he injured his own right hand, suffering a deep cut.

Bystanders Intervene and Police Respond

Witnesses restrained Akhom until officers arrived, The Thaiger reported. He was then taken to Taksin Hospital for treatment of his hand injury.

Police charged him with assault causing bodily and mental harm and informed him of his legal rights before handing him over to investigators.

Investigation Continues

Authorities are gathering evidence and questioning witnesses.

Police confirmed the confrontation began with nothing more than an unfriendly exchange of looks while both men were waiting to purchase food.
