The woman was accused of attempting to poison a two-year-old child by pouring liquid disinfectant into his milk bottle. The arrest happened on live TV, making the case spread rapidly across social media and news platforms.
CCTV Footage Reveals Disturbing Moment
The case first became known when the child’s mother shared CCTV footage online. The video showed the maid, identified as 57-year-old Usanee “Ann” Palang-usa, pouring a white liquid into the toddler’s milk bottle.

Her son Kirin became sick shortly after drinking the milk. The situation became more alarming when the child’s grandmother noticed a strong chemical smell coming from the bottle.
The family rushed the toddler to the hospital immediately. Doctors later confirmed that the child was safe and did not suffer long-term harm. The liquid used was Dettol disinfectant, not milk.
Suspect’s Explanation Raises Doubts
Usanee fled the house after the incident but later appeared on a popular Thai news programme to defend herself. During the interview, she admitted pouring liquid into the bottle but said she believed it was milk because of its white colour. She claimed she had no intention of harming the child.

However, the programme presented additional CCTV footage showing Usanee using the same liquid earlier to clean the floor. This detail raised serious questions about her explanation and increased public suspicion.
More Accusations Surface After Story Goes Viral
After the case spread online, several other people came forward with similar accusations. Some claimed that Usanee had stolen money and jewellery while working in their homes. One alleged victim said she had CCTV footage showing Usanee taking cash and a gold necklace. The items were later returned after Usanee begged not to be reported.

Usanee strongly denied all theft accusations and said the stories were fabricated.
Police Arrest During Live Broadcast
While the interview was still ongoing, officers from Bang Pong Pang Police Station arrived at the studio. They detained Usanee on the spot, shocking both the audience and viewers at home. The suspect became visibly upset and accused the programme of deceiving her. She claimed she was paid to attend the interview and did not expect to be arrested live on air.

She walked out of the studio before being escorted to the police station for further questioning. At the end of the broadcast, the host stated that more alleged victims were expected to file official complaints in the coming days.
