Fell While Going Down the Mountain
A 56-year-old Singaporean woman sustained head injuries after falling while descending Mount Kinabalu early Monday morning (March 24).

The incident happened at KM7.2 of the mountain at around 7:00 am. Due to her injuries, she was unable to continue her journey down.
Emergency Response and First Aid
At 7:33 am, the Ranau Fire and Rescue Station received an emergency call about the incident. A rescue team of 17 Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) personnel, along with Sabah Parks rangers and health officials, was quickly deployed to assist her.

According to The Star, rescuers provided first aid at the scene to stop the bleeding before preparing to evacuate her.
Evacuated to Safety for Medical Treatment
The team then transported her down the mountain using a Robertson stretcher, carefully making their way to Timpohon Gate, the main entry and exit point of Mount Kinabalu.

Once at Timpohon Gate, she was handed over to an ambulance team for further medical treatment. Authorities then conducted a final safety check before concluding the rescue operation at 12:04 pm.
