On National Day, Tiktok user, @/misodyy set out on an epic adventure this National Day, covering 24 kilometers from Changi Airport to Sentosa. With the festive spirit in the air, she was determined to honor Singapore’s 59th birthday in the most memorable way possible—by walking the length of the island.
First Hiccups and Heroic Moments
The journey began with a bit of a stumble—literally. Within the first 4 kilometers, she managed to drop her brand-new Apple Watch. However, rather than letting it get her down, she laughed it off and kept marching on.
As she hit the 8-kilometer mark, a whole convoy of Singapore flags cheered her on, making her feel like a VIP on a presidential parade.
At the 10th kilometer, she enjoyed a much-needed snack gifted by her Malaysian friend—to keep things going, else she would just, collapse.
Bicycles, Ice Juice, and Lunch Breaks
By 12 kilometers, she was eyeing bicycles passing by with envy, wishing for a speedy shortcut for her journey. But the real treat came at the 16th kilometer with a refreshing ice sugar cane juice—pure bliss in a cup.
And what’s a long walk without a pit stop? At 19 kilometers, she indulged in a classic local favorite at Lao Pau Sat, one of Singapore’s beloved date spots.
The Final Stretch
With just a few kilometers left, the heat and fatigue were setting in. The only thought she had at that very moment was to find an air-conditioned room and have the cold wind blasted to her face!
As she finally reached Vivo City at the 24th kilometer, the joy of completing the walk was palpable. “Happy birthday, Singapore,” she cheered, celebrating her achievement with a big smile—despite being utterly exhausted.
This National Day walk was more than just a trek; it was a heartfelt celebration of Singapore with every step taken. Through the unexpected hiccups and bursts of laughter, it became a joyful and patriotic journey.
