A 60-year-old man was killed in a violent attack in Kampung Buloh Ipoh, Kelantan, on Saturday, June 21, after previously scolding a teenager for riding his motorcycle dangerously in the village.
According to Kosmo!, the incident happened around 5:30 p.m.
The victim, Shamsuddin Mohamad, died at the scene after being struck in the face with a metal baton.
Victim Was Talking with a Friend Moments Before
Earlier that evening, Shamsuddin was sitting and chatting with a friend under a small shed located in front of a sundry shop. After his friend left, an 18-year-old arrived and approached Shamsuddin.
According to Shamsuddin’s younger sister, Hasnah Ghazali, 40, the teenager asked her brother to follow him behind the sundry shop.
Once they were out of sight, the teenager allegedly attacked him with a metal baton.

Sudden Attack Witnessed by a Bystander
Hasnah recounted the terrifying moment relayed to her by witnesses.
She said the teenager had suddenly attacked her brother without warning, using a metal baton that was believed to have been bought online.
The violent act didn’t go unnoticed, as a man who happened to be passing by the area saw the incident unfold.
The blow to the face caused Shamsuddin to collapse on the spot. He never regained consciousness.
Family Believes Motive Was Revenge
Hasnah said she was informed about the incident at 5:45 p.m. and rushed to the location, where she found her brother bleeding and unresponsive.

She believes the teenager may have held a grudge against her brother, as he previously scolded him for riding his motorcycle recklessly in the village.
Police Confirm Incident and Investigation
Tanah Merah District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd. Haki Hasbullah confirmed that the case had been reported and said a full investigation is ongoing.
Burial Scheduled That Evening
According to Hasnah, Shamsuddin’s body was taken to Tanah Merah Hospital before being laid to rest the same evening at the Bukit Kelupang Muslim Cemetery in Ipoh.
