A simple road block in the recent Hari Raya season in Malaysia would cause many riders to think otherwise. Rather than inspecting papers and imposing fines, the officers took up passing motorcyclists by hand and giving them goodie bags. The strange situation was soon noticed as a video started to spread on the internet.

Some of the riders in the clip decelerate towards the roadblock. One of the riders appears to be particularly nervous. He abruptly draws a U-turn as he attempts to evade the check point. During the process, he loses his control and hits the divider and falls off his bike. The fall does not seem serious, but it does look awkward.
An Instinct of Panic Becomes Humiliation.
The rider stands as soon as he falls and attempts to be normal. He makes himself adapt and takes a walk as though nothing came. There is another biker standing near the scene with a quiet smile on his face. The roadblock officer is also looking on but does not seem strict but rather concerned.

The interesting aspect of the moment is the cause of panic on the side of the rider. The roadblock did not get established to arrest criminals or impose fines. Rather, it was a given out event where policemen were distributing minor gifts to riders as a Hari Raya gift.
Surprising Goodwill at a Checkpoint.
A lot of riders that came to the checkpoint were perplexed. Others were going slowly, anticipating the due process. However, by moving in closer, they noticed that officers were merely giving out goodie bags of little treats.

It was a very pleasant environment. No loud instructions or serious warnings were given. This situation was surprisingly relaxed, considering that it is the one that most people would feel tension about.
The camera footage of the panicky rider quickly went viral. The situation was considered funny and relatable by people. The combination of the fear, confusion and the sudden benevolence was what made the clip memorable.

To a large audience, the concept of being presented with gifts at a road block was a weird one. It transformed the typical image of these checkpoints albeit temporarily.
But within a few seconds, Tension to Laughter.
After all, what began as a stressful experience on the part of one of the riders eventually became a light and unforgettable experience. The roadblock rather than inciting concern was turned into a surprise.
With the clip spreading, it only leaves behind a mere picture: a situation when fear suddenly gave way to laughter on the busy road.
