Patients, visitors and hospital staff were treated to a different kind of morning at the National University Hospital (NUH) Medical Centre in Singapore. A piano recital on Level 3 played a soothing and gentle melody. The music brought a moment of peace amidst the busy medical environment.

The organizers said the main aim of the event was to relieve some of the stress of the people. It was an emotional experience, especially for those who have been involved in the medical process for a long time.

Morning Begins with Music

The piano performance began during the busy morning. The artists began to play the tunes attentively, and the people around them gradually stopped. Some sat and listened, while others enjoyed the tunes from a distance.

Music brought a different feeling even amidst the medical concerns. This event made the hospital environment more humane.

Working from the Heart

The artists participating in the event uploaded a video on TikTok and said that being able to do something for people is their greatest achievement. When you work from the heart, its impact reaches the minds of others. Through this recital, they wanted to make the journey of patients and caregivers a little easier.

They urged them to be involved in such initiatives in the future as well. The organizers see music as a means of being by the side of people.

Role of NUH

Established in 1985, NUH is one of the leading tertiary hospitals in Singapore. It is an important referral center for medical, surgical and dental services. It also serves as a teaching hospital for the National University of Singapore. In addition to medical care, this event by NUH is gaining praise for its humanitarian and creative initiatives.
