TikTok user phichzy10 posted a chilling 6-second video that chalked up 200,000 views within just over 6 hours. At 12.30pm on 8 May 2022, Wake Up Singapore received confirmation from the user that the video was filmed in Malaysia. In her video, she wrote: In her video, she wrote:
“Fuck, I’m so freaking scared. These guys keep following me.
Pretending to film a video hope I record their face”
In the video, her eyes can be seen darting around. For just a few seconds, as she tilts her phone and her head, the viewer can make out the image of a man clad in a yellow shirt behind her. In the caption to her video, she stated “Fucking shit these men”.
Phichzy suspected that the man wanted to know where she lived. They were apparently in the same elevator together, and he only pressed the lift button after she pressed her floor.
Hundreds of TikTok users had replied to her video and asked her if she was okay. She assured everyone that she was now safe at her boyfriend’s place.
In response to another TikTok user, she confirmed that she will be filing a police report, and hoped that she has gathered sufficient evidence.
Othersshared what they would do if placed in a similar situation.
When asked why she didn’t run instead, she replied by stating that she knew she could not run faster than them. “For that moment, I just want to record their face because I am at TikTok at that time and I couldn’t think.”
