In China, a welder has caught public attention with a project that looks almost impossible to complete alone. His name is Ren Bailin, and he has spent years creating a detailed aircraft carrier model using stainless steel. What makes his work even more surprising is that he did most of it by hand.
A Project That Took Years
Ren began working on this model in 2012. At first, it was just a small idea during his free time. However, the project slowly became bigger and more complex.

He worked on it after long days at his regular job, often late into the night. Over time, the model grew into a large and detailed structure that looks like a real naval ship.
Learning Everything by Himself
One of the most interesting parts of his story is how he learned new skills. Ren did not have formal training in design or engineering. Instead, he taught himself computer-aided design (CAD), basic electrical systems, and mechanical techniques. He studied from books, videos, and practice. Step by step, he improved his knowledge and applied it directly to his model.

The aircraft carrier is not just for display. It includes moving parts and working features that make it feel alive. Ren carefully designed each section to function properly, even though he was working alone most of the time.
Details That Bring It to Life
The model includes several advanced features. It has a working catapult system that can launch small objects, similar to real aircraft carriers. It also has surface movement and even small flamethrower effects, which add dramatic visual impact. These details required careful planning and many experiments before they worked correctly.

Each piece of the model was shaped and assembled by hand. Ren used simple tools and strong patience to create parts that fit together perfectly. The level of detail shows his dedication over the years.

Today, his work has attracted attention online, with many people amazed by what one person can achieve with time and determination. His aircraft carrier model stands as a powerful example of skill, effort, and creativity coming together in one extraordinary project.
