Passenger Fell Ill While Rushing Home After Brother’s Passing
A woman has publicly expressed gratitude to Singapore Airlines after cabin crew reportedly came to her aid when she collapsed during a flight while travelling home following her younger brother’s passing. In a social media post that has since circulated online, the passenger said she had booked the airline’s earliest available flight to Ho Chi Minh City after receiving the devastating news.

About an hour into the journey, she began feeling severely nauseous, and short of breath, which she believed was caused by cabin pressure changes. Despite her situation, she was initially hesitant to disturb other passengers seated beside her. This was until her condition quickly worsened.
Cabin Crew Acted Quickly During Medical Emergency
According to her account, the woman collapsed shortly after getting out of her seat and was supported by flight attendants, who immediately provided oxygen and assistance. An announcement was reportedly made asking if a doctor was onboard, while crew members consulted the captain about the possibility of diverting the flight if medical help was unavailable.

A medical professional later examined her and found her blood pressure had dropped below normal levels. After stabilising her condition, she said the crew moved her to an available Business Class seat so she could lie down and rest for the remainder of the flight.
She added that flight attendants continued checking on her throughout the journey, offering reassurance as she coped with both physical distress and grief.
Kind Gesture Before Landing Moves Passenger to Tears
Before landing, the passenger claimed that a flight attendant quietly handed her an envelope to help cover medical consultation costs before continuing her journey home.

She described the moment as overwhelming, saying she broke down in tears at the unexpected act of kindness.
“I was not treated as just another passenger — I was treated like family,” she wrote.
Online Users Praise Crew’s Compassion
The post has drawn praise from netizens, many commending Singapore Airlines cabin crew for their professionalism and empathy during inflight emergencies.

The account has not been independently verified at the time of writing.
While medical situations occasionally occur during flights, the woman said the care she received turned an already painful journey into one she would never forget — for the compassion shown at 30,000 feet.
