After a long wait, one of the iconic films of Tamil cinema, ‘Padayappa,’ is being released in Singapore cinemas again. The film will be screened at Carnival Cinemas, Golden Mile Tower, from 22 December 2025. With a PG-13 censor, the audience will be able to enjoy the film with their families.

This is going to be an emotional reunion for Rajinikanth fans in Singapore.
Return of a Legend
Directed by K. S. Ravikumar, the film stars Ramya Krishnan, Soundarya and the late legend Sivaji Ganesan alongside Rajinikanth. Even after 25 years of its release, ‘Padayappa’ remains an immortal name in the history of Tamil cinema.

As a result, there is a lot of interest among the audience regarding its re-release in Singapore.
Storyline
The story of the film revolves around the ethical and self-respecting Padayappa. After the death of his father, his family faces destruction, but he rebuilds everything with hard work. However, his rejected lover Neelambari brings turmoil to his life. This conflict of pride and revenge makes the film more dramatic.
