An elderly woman who has been separated from her children for decades is counting the days in the hope of meeting them again. 95-year-old Su Shuxin is originally from Penang. She currently lives at the Joy Garden Old People’s Home in Semenyih. At this time of old age, her biggest wish is to meet her children again and reduce the distance between them.

Although she lost contact with her family many years ago, she has not given up hope. The old woman believes that if she meets her children once, it may be possible to remove the misunderstandings of the past.
Family Separation
Su Shuxin said that she got married at the age of 25 and has three daughters and a son. However, due to frequent quarrels with her husband in her marital life, she left home at one point. At that time, her children were teenagers, and they stayed with their father. After that, she could not contact her family for a long time.

Although she initially thought that she would return after a few days, the situation gradually became more complicated. As a result, years passed and decades passed, and the distance between her and her children continued to grow.
A Life of Struggle
After leaving home, Su Shuxin had to live a difficult life. To earn a living, she worked in various jobs. Sometimes she worked in the market, sometimes as a housemaid. In addition, she also worked as a dishwasher in a restaurant. In this way, she worked hard for a long time.
Finally, at the age of 73, she could no longer work due to her age. Then she decided to live in an old age home herself.
Life in an old Age Home
For the past 20 years, she has been living in the Joy Garden Old People’s Home in Semenyih. There, her basic needs are met, and she is also cared for. Yet, she feels a deep emptiness in her heart for her children. The caregivers at the old age home say that she does not have any major physical illness. She is mentally alert and likes to talk to people. She can even eat and do some daily tasks by herself. So everyone thinks that his biggest lack is actually the proximity of his family.

Waiting for Her Children
The old woman said that her biggest wish is to see her children again. It is estimated that her children are now around seventy. She has carefully kept a photo of herself when she was young. She hopes that his children will be able to recognize her through that photo.

The old age home authorities said that it has become difficult to find his children because she cannot write their names in Mandarin or English. However, if anyone knows any information about her family, they are requested to contact the old age home at 017-553 1101 or Ong Siong Lu at 012-783 3655.
