Two people have died in a horrific road accident in a residential area of Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The accident occurred at 3:20 pm on 4 January in the Jalan Dedap 1 area of Taman Johor Jaya.

According to locals, such a horrific scene has never been seen on a quiet residential road before. News of the accident quickly spread on social media and caused widespread discussion.
The Moment of the Accident
Seri Alam District Police Assistant Commissioner Sohaimi Ishak said that a total of four vehicles were involved in the accident. These included a Nissan GT-R, a Kia Picanto and two Perodua Axias.

Initial investigations revealed that the Nissan GT-R, driven by a 29-year-old local man, lost control and entered the opposite lane. It then collided with other vehicles coming from the front.
Fatalities
The driver of the Nissan GT-R suffered serious head injuries as a result of the collision and died on the spot. Meanwhile, the 30-year-old driver of a Perodua Axia was taken to Sultan Ismail Hospital with serious injuries but died there.

The police said the other four people suffered minor injuries and were being treated at the same hospital. The scene of the accident was so horrific that local residents were left in shock.
Police Investigation
The police said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. The speed, road conditions and driver’s behavior are being analyzed to determine the exact cause of the accident.

At the same time, statements from witnesses are also being collected. Police have appealed to the general public to come forward with any information.
Following the incident, the police have again warned drivers. They have urged everyone to adhere to the speed limit and maintain a safe distance.
Netizen’s Reaction
As soon as the incident came to light, there was a strong reaction among netizens. Many have commented that many take risks because they don’t understand the true value of driving a sports car at a slow speed. Some have questioned the fines for speeding and said that even though the penalties are the same, the risks are not the same.
Many have prayed for the victims and wished for a speedy recovery for the injured.
