A Mother’s Unyielding Spirit
Following her diagnosis of severe kidney failure, Mrs. Agustinah from Indonesia still faces each day with unwavering courage. Despite experiencing frequent bouts of shortness of breath and fatigue, Mrs. Tinah chooses to work as a delivery rider to provide for her only child.

Mrs. Tinah and her child were abandoned by her husband, causing her to solitarily shoulder the responsibility of keeping her small family afloat. She continues to brave each day, even on days where her health makes everything difficult.
“Sometimes, when I’m too exhausted, my breathing becomes tight. I have to pull over just to rest,” she shared. “I wish I had a portable oxygen tank so I wouldn’t have to rest for too long.”
Living on the Edge
Mrs. Tinah’s condition demands an oxygen supply, but with an unstable income, she cannot afford her own tank. Instead, she relies on borrowed ones from fellow patients. Her small rented room leaves little space for comfort on top of the daily struggle of putting food on the table.

Her child often skips school to take care of her, worried about leaving her mother alone. Despite the heavy burden on the young child, their love and reliance on each other for support helps them fight through each day resiliently.
Holding on to Faith
Mrs. Tinah holds strongly onto her faith, despite her declining health, as she accepts that her future ‘lies in God’s hands.’ Regardless, she continues to dream of having the strength to work and care for her child without constant worry.
“I just leave it all to fate. If anyone wants to help, I’m grateful—it’s a sign that God still watches over me,” she said softly.
The Urgent Need
Mrs. Tinah urgently requires S$30,000 for medical treatment and a portable oxygen tank. Without it, her daily rides become not only exhausting but dangerous. Time is running out, and without support, her child risks losing both education and the comfort of a mother’s presence.

Imagine working miles every day while gasping for air—just to keep your child fed. That is Mrs. Tinah’s reality.
Why Mrs. Tinah Needs Oxygen Support
According to NCBI, severe breathlessness, known as dyspnea, is a common symptom in late-stage kidney failure. For Mrs. Tinah, this means frequent episodes where she struggles to breathe while working.
Oxygen support can ease these attacks and give her the strength to continue providing for her child. Without it, even simple daily tasks become overwhelming and dangerous.
