A woman in Malaysia has been the subject of widespread controversy over allegations of a double life. The mystery began with a marriage certificate found in her husband’s car. The document shows that the woman married another man in Songkhla, Thailand. The matter was first revealed in a Facebook post by her husband’s sister, which quickly went viral.

Secret Marriage Certificate
It was initially claimed that the woman spent time with her second husband during the day and returned to her first husband’s house at night. The second husband’s rented house was just 19 kilometers away from her first husband’s house.

The marriage certificate found in the car shows that she married a man from Janhar State in Songkhla in November 2024. Seeing this document raised suspicions in the family.
Demand for Divorce
However, the story took a turn when the first husband said that he had divorced his wife in January 2022. Although the divorce was not registered with the Islamic Religious Office. Even his family did not know anything about it. Later, he apologized to the family for the confusion.

Woman’s Statement
The woman finally broke her silence in the face of the allegations. She said that she did not want to give details, as the matter was under investigation. However, she admitted that she had divorced her first husband, but it was not officially registered.

She also said that complications arose because she did not bring the divorce papers with her during the wedding in Thailand.

The incident has sparked a heated debate on social media. Some say that if men can marry more than one wife, women should also have equal rights. Others have questioned how the first husband could not understand the matter until now.
Some users see it as a complicated example of managing emotions and relationships. Many are also recalling some strange polygamous stories from the past.

Investigation Progress
The incident came to light on December 6, when the first husband’s sister went to the second husband’s house in the presence of the police. Later, the woman gave a written statement to the Tanah Merah Religious Office on December 14. The Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department is currently investigating the matter. Authorities said that a legal decision will be taken after verifying all the documents.
