Rising motorsport talents Sanjana and Sujana Dandu are set to compete in the Champions of the Future Karting Academy 2025, marking their second consecutive year in the prestigious international competition.
The first race of the season is scheduled for the end of this month.
The 13-year-old twins, racing under the Legion of Racers (LOR) banner, gained recognition last year after competing in the Asia Pacific Karting Championship, where they showcased their determination and talent against some of the best young drivers in the region.
“This will be the second year that both Sanjana and Sujana will be participating in Champions of the Future Karting Academy, and the target would be to achieve a Top 10 position in the Championship. I’m confident both drivers would be able to perform at a higher level given the experience gained last year,” said Melvin Moh, Co-founder of Legion of Racers.
LOR’s Vision for Young Racers
Legion of Racers was founded to remove barriers to entry in motorsports, offering young talents a path to develop their skills in both esports and physical racing.
The participation of the Dandu twins in this tournament aligns with LOR’s mission to support aspiring racers in their journey toward professional motorsports.
“We are excited to once again be competing against the best in karting for the second year in a row. Last year provided us with an incredible experience, and competing again this year would allow us to build upon that foundation,” said Sanjana Dandu.
Her twin sister Sujana Dandu added, “This tournament would play a huge role in our racing journey, pushing us to improve and take our next steps towards a professional karting career.”
The Road Ahead: 2025 Season and Beyond
The 2025 Champions of the Future Karting Academy season consists of six international races in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Qatar, and the UAE, spanning from February to December.
As they compete against some of the world’s top karting talents, Sanjana and Sujana will receive continued support from LOR through expert coaching, high-performance training, and state-of-the-art racing technology.
“We are excited for the challenges and opportunities this season brings, as our drivers compete in new locations and face stronger competition,” said Melvin Moh. “As a participating team, we remain dedicated to supporting our drivers and helping them grow in their motorsports careers.”
Depending on their performance in this tournament, LOR is also considering moving the twins into a higher karting category next year, which would provide them with an even greater challenge on their path to professional racing.
