The incident, reported on 28th November, unfolded in the Westhaven neighborhood of South Memphis.

According to New York Post, the Memphis Police Department told Newsweek that the incident occurred around 3 p.m. and stemmed from a dispute about Johnson pushing her grandson.

Escalation and Alleged Attack

The argument quickly intensified after Johnson reportedly retrieved a kitchen knife. Authorities revealed that Johnson first targeted her daughter, causing an abrasion to her left hand.

Following this, she reportedly turned her attention to her grandson, stabbing him near his left thumb.

Despite the severity of the situation, three juveniles present during the incident were unharmed. According to the victim and MPD, Johnson appeared to be heavily intoxicated at the time of the attack, which might have contributed to the violent outburst.

Arrest on Cazassa Road

Following the attack, Johnson fled the scene. However, Memphis police located her later that day on Cazassa Road, approximately two miles from the residence.
