Rumor has it that there is a chance that Vijay’s months-delayed final film, “Jana Nayagan,” may be released in June, amid news that Yash’s “Toxic” has been postponed from its April slot to early June as well.
KVN Productions, which produced both films, reportedly plans to have the Yash movie released on 4 June, while “Jana Nayagan” is potentially released on 18 June.

It is believed that the date chosen may have to do with the fact that Vijay’s birthday is also in the same month. However, the studio has yet to confirm news regarding the release date.

“Jana Nayagan” was originally scheduled for a 9 January release, which coincides with Pongal and before the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. However, the movie was postponed indefinitely after the production hit a roadblock with India’s Censorship Board.
The issue had since sparked speculations that it was politically-motivated, seeing that the film may influence voters as Vijay is set to contest as part of his political party, TVK.
