Fan’s Head Wedged in Railings

A football fan in Indonesia found himself in an unusual situation after his head became stuck in the stadium railings.

The incident happened during a friendly match in Yogyakarta, leaving him trapped for nearly the entire first half before his friends came to the rescue. 

According to TRANSFERS & LIVESCORE UPDATES on Facebook, it took the effort of three to four people before he was finally freed.

Video Captures the Struggle

A video of the incident showed the man struggling as his head was tightly wedged between the bars. At first, one supporter tried pulling him out, while others held on to the railings to create some leverage.

The stuck fan also tried to use his leg for support, pushing against the railing in an attempt to free himself.

Eventually, more supporters joined in, laughing as they helped, until the man managed to twist his head sideways and finally pull himself out.

Match Details in Yogyakarta

The incident took place on Friday, 22 August 2025, during a friendly match between PSS Sleman and PSPS Pekanbaru at Stadion Maguwoharjo in Sleman, according to Viral Press.

The supporter had reportedly placed his head through the bars in hopes of getting a better view of the game, but later discovered it was much harder to pull it back out.

PSS Sleman Take the Win

While the fan eventually walked away unharmed, the match itself ended with a positive result for the home team. 

Detik Jogja reported that PSS Sleman defeated PSPS Pekanbaru 2-0, with both goals scored by Gustavo Tocantins in the 8th and 50th minutes.
