Bodies of Husband, Wife and Son Discovered in Locked a House; Murder Suspected

Bodies of Husband, Wife and Son Discovered in Locked a House; Murder Suspected

The bodies of three members of the same family were recovered from a house in Kampung Belau, Merbok, Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia, after a strong stench emanated from it. Neighbors had not seen any of the family for several days and had reported the foul smell to the police.

Later, the police broke down the door of the house and found the tragic scene. The authorities are now investigating the incident as a murder. The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the entire area, especially raising new concerns about the safety of children and families.

Suspicion of the Foul Smell

It was the local residents who first noticed the unusual situation. They said that no one had been leaving the house for several days. In addition, a strong foul smell started coming from the house. After that, they informed the police on 26th March.

When the police went to the scene, they found the house locked from the inside. As a result, officers were forced to break the door and enter. At this stage, the incident became even more mysterious.

Family Identification

The police have confirmed the identities of the deceased. They are Zikri Abdul Rahman (65) and his wife Suraya Mann (53). Their 29-year-old son, Muhammad Shakir Zufairi Abdul Aziz, was also killed. The family had been living in the area for a long time. They were known to their neighbors as calm people. Such an outcome for such a family has shocked everyone.

The police saw a horrific scene as soon as they entered the house. The bodies of the husband and wife were found in the kitchen, wrapped in clothes and carpets. Their bodies had serious injury marks, and it is believed that their bodies had been mutilated.

On the other hand, the body of the son was found in the upper room, with a sharp weapon wound to the neck. Several sharp weapons were also recovered from the scene. The whole scene was very tragic and heartbreaking.

Hints of Murder

In the initial investigation, the police believe that it is a murder. It is believed that the son Shakir may be involved in this incident. Investigators believe that the incident happened a few days ago. 

It is believed that the parents died at least 48 hours ago. However, the boy’s death is believed to have occurred relatively later. This has further added to the mystery of the entire incident.

Mental Health Issue

Police said that the deceased boy had a history of mental health problems in the past. He was under treatment between 2018 and 2019. However, he never behaved in a problematic manner towards the locals. This incident is forcing people to think anew about mental health. It has highlighted the need to increase awareness, especially among families.

Investigation Continues

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Five witnesses have already been called for questioning. The bodies have been sent to the hospital for autopsy. The police are investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code. However, the exact reason behind the incident is not yet known. As a result, there is an atmosphere of anxiety and grief in the area regarding the entire matter.
