In Thailand, a German man who bears a striking resemblance to ‘John Wick’ star Keanu Reeves swiftly garnered attention among locals, who mistook him for the iconic fictional character. The man, now identified as Andreas Kalias or Woonsen, received so much fame after his wife Kanchalee Phromma, or Tuk, posted photos and videos of him on their TikTok account, @/Tuktiklife.
According to Khaosod English, Tuk made him dye his blonde hair black, dressed him for a celebrity look-alike contest, and much to her and everyone’s surprise she looked like Keanu Reeves!
Went Viral Among Thai Locals
On May 13th, they were on a short trip to Thailand to visit Tuk’s homeland briefly and during this trip, Woonsen gained fame as many passersby thought he was a celebrity. He was seen doing various jobs such as washing the dishes, making drinks at a stall, and even selling food items on a motorbike!
Embracing the Attention
Despite the initial shock and amusement, Andreas, or Woonsen, embraced his newfound fame with grace and humor. He enjoyed interacting with the locals, often stopping to chat, posing for photos, and even hugging them. Woonsen’s down-to-earth nature and willingness to engage with fans only increased his popularity. His wife, Tuk, continued to share their adventures on TikTok, further fueling the viral sensation.
