A group of Malaysian friends orchestrated a hilarious prank by picking up their friend from the airport in a hearse. The prank was filmed and shared on TikTok by @/ramj__, featuring three friends driving a hearse to Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kelantan.
A unique airport pickup
The goal was to surprise and embarrass their friend upon arrival, as a hearse is an unusual sight at the airport. As they approached, bystanders cast curious glances at the hearse pulling up. Inside, the friends burst into laughter, eagerly anticipating their friend’s reaction.
Embarrassment ensues
Upon spotting the hearse, their friend, clad in a coral blue shirt and eagerly awaiting their arrival, was initially taken aback but soon saw the humor in the situation. Looking around his surroundings, he swiftly jumped into the vehicle to evade the awkwardness.
Once inside, the friends jubilantly celebrated their successful prank, bursting into laughter at their mischief.
Comments and reactions
The TikTok video rapidly went viral, amassing millions of views and eliciting thousands of entertained comments from viewers in the comment section. The viewers even shared similar experiences that happened to them.
“My late father once came to pick me up from school on a tractor. I felt embarrassed to ride it, holding onto the back handle. People passing by stared at us, but it was fun… so now it’s a cherished memory.”
One user humorously wondered, “Imagine how his parents would feel when the hearse suddenly arrives in front of the house.”
Another user even joked about the situation, commenting, “It’s rare to see people laughing out loud in a hearse van. They usually ride quietly, often crying.”
