Lost in Translation: Foreigner’s Hilarious Helmet-Wearing Lesson

In a recent amusing video by TikTok user @saudagar868, a foreigner found himself in a comical situation as he tried to understand a Malay man’s instructions on how to wear a helmet correctly. The video captured a series of hilariously repeated instructions, with the foreigner relying mostly on body language to get it right.

Initial Confusion

The fun began with the Malay man, seemingly inside a car, pointing out that the foreigner’s helmet was not worn correctly, exclaiming, “Helmet is upside down. No. Helmet. Helmet. Take it off. Take it off.” The foreigner, who was next to his car on a motorcycle, looked a bit confused but tried to follow along and raised an extra red helmet he had in his hand.

Attempts to Follow Along

In the video, the foreigner was seen with two helmets—a black helmet wrongly worn on his head and an extra helmet in the motorcycle’s basket. The Malay man continued with, “Yes. Now wear it again. That one, that one.” After having his helmet taken off as instructed, he looked at the man for more instructions. The man later proceeded to tell him to wear it again, in the correct way. The foreigner, trying his best to decipher the instructions, created a series of amusing back-and-forth moments as he fumbled with the helmets.

However, still confused, the foreigner held up the red helmet instead. The man repeatedly pointed to the same black helmet, saying, “Black. Black. Black.” This chant added to the hilarity as the foreigner looked at the man in confusion, perhaps trying to understand if the color mattered or if it was just part of the instruction.

The Dance of Instructions

Next came a series of instructions that sounded almost like a dance routine: “Wear it. Turn. Turn. Turn. Turn. Like that. Wear it. Wear it.” The foreigner, now more perplexed than ever, followed the motions, turning the helmet around as instructed, adding to the comic relief.

The mantra remained consistent with repeated emphasis on wearing the helmet correctly: “Wear it. Like that. Wear it. Wear it. Like that. Correct.” Determined to get it right, the foreigner continued to adjust the helmet until he finally succeeded. Finally getting it right, he thanked the man with a huge smile and a thumbs up, showing his gratitude for the help.

A user commented: “If it were me, I would have been laughing out loud there”

Another one hilariously questioned, “Why am I the one nodding?”

Some even stress the fact that they want to fix the helmet for him themselves.

Most of the comments were filled with viewers praising the original poster (OP) for his patience.
