Singapore to JB on a Foldable Bike—A New Travel Experience Takes Over Social Media
Facebook

A video of a Singapore man seeking an answer to the question of whether it is possible to travel from Singapore to Johor Bahru (JB) in Malaysia on a foldable bike is now widely discussed on social media. In the video, it can be seen that despite the threat of bad weather and rain, he started the journey and aimed to at least cross customs. After a challenging ride of about 30 minutes, he reached the Woodlands checkpoint.

Although entering the narrow lane designated for bicycles there was a bit risky, he successfully crossed. Later, he also crossed Malaysian customs, although he got confused at times by entering the wrong lane. Finally, he said that it is possible to travel to JB on a foldable bike, but by the end of the journey, he was completely soaked.

Challenging Journey

This journey was not easy, but rather faced various challenges from the beginning. First, the weather was uncertain and there was a possibility of rain at any time. Still, he kept his goal in mind and moved forward.

Approaching the checkpoint, the narrow path designated for bicycles seemed a bit risky. But he slowly crossed that part. The experience became exciting and educational for him at the same time.

Customs Experience

The customs process was an important step when entering Malaysia from Singapore. He said in the video that by choosing the right time, the crowd was relatively smaller. As a result, it was possible to avoid the chaos of the motorbike lane. Although he entered the wrong lane once, he quickly handled the situation. After that, passing through Malaysian customs was also relatively easy. This part was an unexpectedly smooth experience for him.

Reality and Preparation

In the video, he also shares some important tips that can be helpful for future cyclists. For example, starting the journey early in the morning can avoid the crowd. It is also important to have the right clothing and preparation, because the weather can change quickly. He uses sandals on the journey and carries his equipment easily. These small preparations make the whole experience easier.

Netizen’s Reaction

After the video was released, netizens had mixed reactions. Some said that this was a simple but fun experience at JB Weekend, and that they might plan to go further afield with such a foldable bike in the future.

Others shared their experiences, saying that it was great to ride a foldable bike up a hill abroad, but it was difficult to brake when descending.

On the other hand, some users warned that it is important to be mindful of clothing and behavior when traveling in Malaysia. According to them, there have been some sensitive situations before, so it is better to be careful.
