The highly anticipated Drone Show Korea (DSK) 2026, Asia’s largest drone and unmanned systems exhibition, kicked off for a three-day run in Busan on Wednesday.
Footage shows visitors stepping into BEXCO’s exhibition hall, enveloped by a futuristic landscape of low-humming rotors, beeping sensors, and the excited chatter of thousands of attendees.
The premier exhibition features large-scale indoor demos, next-generation AI-powered drones, defence and public safety applications, and international exhibitors, creating a vibrant, technology-focused atmosphere. Attendees can be seen craning their necks upwards, mesmerised by the scale of future mobility.
Attendee Sophie remarked, “It’s my first time at DSK. So far some really interesting companies. We are here to discover the market, so we’ve had some really interesting conversations so far. Really good to see the different systems outside of Europe.”
This year’s edition marks the largest in the event’s history, featuring over 310 domestic and international companies from 23 countries across 1,200 booths, showcasing cutting-edge drones, autonomous systems, AI-based security, and future mobility technologies. Notable drone systems on display include the X-Blade 10 military quadcopter, the Ukrainian-made Vampire heavy hexacopter designed for nighttime, high-precision bombing missions, and suicide drones intended for precise target destruction.
PP Seoul developer Lee Dong-son stated, “At PP Seoul, we develop apps and precision positioning receivers, particularly for drones, thanks to our work with GPS technology.”
Zhuo Ling from HD Power shared, “This is our second time at DSK, and we see it as a significant upgrade compared to last year. We specialise in industrial batteries for drones, aiming to extend flight times. Currently, we have over 1,700 customers in China and are entering the global market.”
Crowds gathered around the Korean Air booth to examine a stealth unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), developed in collaboration with Anduril Industries. Korean Air’s two-storey booth features dedicated zones for drones and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), unveiling an AI-based subsonic unmanned aircraft that marks its domestic debut.
Pablo Aviation unveiled its three core business pillars: defence, inspection, and drone art shows, all based on swarm AI technology.
In addition to live demos, the expo features flight demonstrations (where permitted), autonomous/AI drone systems, urban air mobility (UAM) concepts, simulators, and on-site technology showcases from key industry players such as Korean Air, Korea Aerospace Industries, and LIG Nex1.
