She Was Showering—Then Saw an iPhone Filming Through the Bathroom Door Gap

A young Singaporean tenant never imagined that a normal evening after work could turn into such a terrifying memory. While taking a shower, she suddenly realized that a part of the bathroom door was missing and an iPhone was being secretly videotaped through the gap. The phone was removed within moments and the accused fled.

After sharing the experience on social media, a wide discussion began surrounding the issue, especially regarding the safety of rented accommodation.

Horrific Experience

According to the victim’s description, she was taking a shower peacefully after listening to music. She suddenly felt uncomfortable and realized the incident only after looking back. The door part being broken and the phone inserted there was completely unexpected.

She froze in panic and could not react immediately. The accused moved away from there within a short while.

Psychological Impact

After this incident, she had to stay in that unit for more than a month. Taking a shower or staying in the house every day became a cause of mental anguish for her. She also said that she sometimes saw the accused around the house.

Extreme discomfort and fear for her safety drove him away. She said that she has regained some relief after moving into a new house.

Rental House Precautions

This incident has brought to the fore the issue of being extra careful while choosing a rental house in Singapore. The victim advised others to check the bathroom doors and ceiling panels carefully. She said that they should pay special attention to the structure of the shared bathroom. She also urged them to think before making a decision if they see a similar layout.

Many people online felt that the right step in such an incident was to quickly approach the police. 

Some highlighted the importance of checking the toilet doors and construction materials before renting a rental house. 


They also raised questions about how such an incident could happen in a safe city like Singapore. Overall, netizens see the issue as an important example of personal safety and tenant awareness.
